About — the doctor is the clinic
Treatment planned by the specialist whose name is on it.
Vimalai is an orthodontist-led clinic. The person who assesses your case, draws the plan and reviews your progress is the same person — Dr. Gananjay Patil.

The doctor
Dr. Gananjay Patil
Orthodontics — the speciality concerned with aligning teeth and correcting bites — is a full three-year postgraduate discipline after the dental degree. Dr. Patil holds the MDS in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, and Vimalai is built around that specialisation: braces and aligners are the centre of the practice, not an add-on to it.
That matters more than it might sound. Moving teeth is easy to start and hard to finish well — the finish is where bites settle, roots stay healthy and results hold. A specialist's training is precisely in that difference.
Alongside orthodontics, the clinic provides implants, root canal treatment and crowns & bridges, so a case that needs more than alignment is handled under one roof, to one plan.

Why an orthodontist?
All orthodontists are dentists; not all dentists are orthodontists. Any dental graduate can legally fit braces. The MDS adds three years spent on nothing else — growth, biomechanics, bite analysis, and finishing cases to a standard that holds.
Problems like a deep bite or crossbite aren't cosmetic footnotes; left alone they wear teeth unevenly and strain jaws. They're also the cases where planning matters most — and where a specialist assessment earns its fee.
If your concern turns out to sit outside orthodontics, you'll be told that plainly too, and pointed the right way.
How this clinic works
Four working principles
Assess before advising
No treatment is recommended before an examination and records. Sometimes the finding is that you need less than you feared — occasionally, nothing at all.
The plan in writing
Stages, timelines and the estimate are written down before treatment begins, so you decide with the full picture — and can compare it fairly anywhere.
Retention is treatment
Alignment isn't finished when the braces come off. Retainers and review are planned from day one, because a result that drifts back was never finished.
Honest timelines
Teeth move at biology's pace. If a case takes eighteen months, you'll hear eighteen months — not a promise of six to win the booking.

The clinic
Small, specialist, on the chowk
Vimalai sits in Bhoomi Allium at Kokane Chowk — the middle of Pimple Saudagar, minutes from the neighbourhoods around it. It's a compact specialist practice: a treatment room, a consultation desk, a waiting corner, and everything arranged around the work.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 9 PM — hours set so school and office days don't have to be sacrificed for a review visit.
Start with an assessment
Meet the doctor before you commit to anything.
A first visit is a conversation and an examination — the plan comes after, in writing. Book it, or say hello on WhatsApp first.
